Outside of competitive intelligence, I'm active in LGBTQ+ advocacy in Tampa Bay — on GuideWell's employee resource group board and out in the community that raised these events.
I'm a proud, out member of the LGBTQ+ community, and I try to bring that same energy for building connection and community into my life outside of work — through advocacy, local events, and the relationships that come with showing up for the people around me.
At GuideWell, I serve as a Board Member of RESPECT, the company's LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Group (ERG), where I help plan and lead events that connect our workplace with the broader Tampa Bay LGBTQ+ community.
As a Board Member of GuideWell's RESPECT ERG, I recently led the effort to host the Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber at the Florida Blue Tower for their 1st Annual Corporate Inclusion Alliance Summit — a gathering of employee and business resource group leaders from across the Tampa Bay region focused on LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
I worked alongside Florida Blue Market President Phil Lee, Rene Cantu (President, Tampa Bay LGBT Chamber), and Bob McGowan of FHCP, a fellow RESPECT ERG Board Member, to plan and host the event at our Florida Blue Tower.
Tampa Bay's signature LGBTQ+ professional development gathering — convening employee and business resource group leaders from across the region for a day of shared best practices and cross-company collaboration on workplace inclusion.
Event details & registrationProud to have represented Florida Blue as a Statewide Sponsor at the annual Equality Florida St. Pete Gala this year. Founded in St. Pete in 1997, Equality Florida has spent nearly 30 years as a leading voice for LGBTQ+ civil rights in the state — and this year's gala raised a record-breaking $200,000+ for its ongoing mission, including securing emergency funding for the state's AIDS Drug Assistance Program and protecting HIV medication access for over 10,000 Floridians. It was also a pleasure meeting St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch at the event.
Consider donating to the Trevor Project and help provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services for LGBTQ+ young people.
